What is the cost to live at Acanthus?

All Acanthus communities feature month to month rental agreements with no "buy-in" fees.  Care fees vary with individual needs.

Rates are set annually and may vary slightly depending on location.  

 

What will the monthly rent include?
  • Three meals daily served restaurant style in our beautiful dining rooms
  • Snacks, coffee, and tea are available throughout the day
  • Housekeeping
  • Personal laundry (including changing of linens)
  • Local transportation
  • Utilities (excluding phone)
  • Cable TV 
  • A comprehensive activities calendar featuring educational classes, entertainers, as well as off campus social and recreational events
  • Walkable access to Parish activities, programs and events
  • Assisted or Memory Care services are  available on an individual basis 

 

Do you accept long term care insurance?

Long term care insurance likely should cover living in an Acanthus Community. Individual policies may vary. 

What type of care is offered?

Acanthus Senior Living is a Luxury Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. 

All of our care staff is trained and licensed in accordance with local regulations.

Third party hospice care is also allowed within the community.

What age do I need to be to live in an Acanthus community?

Each resident needs to be at least 55 years old (spouses can be younger).

Is this for Catholics only?

Everyone is welcome at Acanthus, no matter their religious affiliations. Our activity programs will include optional faith-based sessions.

Is this subsidized by the government and/or the Catholic Church?

No, Acanthus Senior Living is 100% market driven and with the unique relationship created with the Parish, Acanthus can offer Luxury Senior Living at or below market rates being offered by similar communities.

When will rooms be available for rent?

We appreciate your interest in our community. As we break ground on our individual communities, we will notify you of our anticipated move-in schedule.

How large are the suites?

Accommodations will consist of studios, one bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from 376 sqft to 1028 sqft.

What are the community amenities?

Our vibrant communities offer an array of amenities and activities, including full-service dining or room service upon request, a coffee bar, beauty salon, activity room, theater, chapel, library, and a Bistro/Bar.

Maintain your activity and well-being in our wellness center, which includes cutting-edge fitness equipment, consultation rooms for visiting medical professionals, and physical therapy services provided by outside specialists.

We also provide ride-sharing and travel arrangements for convenient trips to the market, shopping venues, and exciting nights out.

What jobs are available?

It is anticipated that there will be 65 jobs available at each Acanthus Community.  All of the positions will be open to the qualified general public. We will be having a job fair several months prior to the opening of each community. Can I bring my pet?

Dogs, cats, birds fish and other small animals are welcome. Dogs will need to be approved by community management.

Are visitors allowed?

Visitors are welcome throughout the day. Overnight stays are generally limited to 3 nights.

Will my church/ parish be closed during construction?

No, your church will stay open throughout the development and construction process.
