Who We Are
Acanthus Senior Living is a senior living developer whose purpose is to serve the senior living needs of parishes throughout the US. Acanthus is the result from years of collaborations between Bart Shea, its founder, and representatives of the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix.
What We Do
Acanthus Senior Living was organized to establish senior living facilities on available appropriately sized church grounds. Acanthus provides a comprehensive suite of services including: Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. While all people are welcome to become Acanthus residents, the facilities are specifically designed to function symbiotically with the surrounding parishes.
Why We Do It
For most Americans, the transition from their home of years to a senior living community can be difficult. Acanthus was formed to build and manage unique senior living facilities on the grounds of individual parishes, preserving the relationship between parishioners and the parish.
Our Communities
Each senior living community advances the parish ministries and mission goals by providing beautiful state of the art housing for senior members. The residents will now have the opportunity to attend services, interact with neighbors, and attend other events of the church simply by stepping out their front door.
