Chris Bayley

Christopher Bayley most recently completed a 38 year private law practice; the last 35 years of which in the Phoenix, AZ office of the Snell & Wilmer LLP firm. As a partner at Snell & Wilmer, Chris served as the co-leader of the Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Collections practice group of the firm, while also acting as the single point of contact for his 30+ member group in firm administration over all 16 offices based primarily in the inter-mountain west, Washington, DC and Mexico.  For over 25 years, Chris also co-chaired with the firm’s COO and CFO the firm’s client review, billings and collection functions.  As a member of the state and federal court bars in the state of Arizona, the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court, Chris’ law practice has involved both transactional and litigation disciplines, with court appearances in numerous state and federal trial courts, state and federal appellate courts, federal bankruptcy courts and bankruptcy appellate panels.  Chris has been recognized for his long standing and diverse legal career achievements in numerous journals and publications such as The Best Lawyers in America®, Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law, Bankruptcy Litigation, Southwest Super Lawyers®, Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights, and Bankruptcy, America’s Most Honored Professionals, American Registry, Ranking Arizona: The Best of Arizona Attorneys, Bankruptcy, Arizona’s Top Lawyers, Arizona Business Magazine, Super Lawyers®, Bankruptcy – Corporate Counsel Edition, Arizona’s Finest Lawyers, America’s Most Honored Lawyers - - Top 1%, and Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Attorney – Judicial Edition.  During his career, Chris also served in the Arizona Bankruptcy American Inn of Court (Executive Committee 2012), State Bar of Arizona Bankruptcy Section, Executive Counsel, and as a member of the American Bar Association and American Bankruptcy Institute. A Phoenix native, Chris is a graduate of Phoenix’s Brophy College Prep, with a BS degree from the University of Arizona with a double major in Political Science and History, and his JD degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
