
Chris Chapman
Chris Chapman is a new addition to the Acanthus Senior Living team and is a principal in the Texas operations.
A seasoned professional in the field of professional advancement and advocacy, Chris has extensive experience in listening and connecting a philanthropic supporter with a project or passion that they would like to create or augment that is meaningful to them.
In his most previous role, Chris worked with the Diocese of Fort Worth and led their multi-hundred million dollar capital campaign for Catholic Education and Faith Formation. This role included the campaign strategy, diligent research, data augmentation, feasibility conversations and personal visits that will complete the gift cycle to achieve the needs of the Diocese and the desires of its faithful. Furthermore, the state of Texas recently passed Education Savings Accounts legislation in which Chris and the Diocese of Fort Worth played a critical role in this legislative achievement. He remains a trusted advisor to the Diocese of Fort Worth Bishop Michael Olson.
Prior to joining the Diocese of Fort Worth, Chris worked in both the California and Texas Legislatures, higher education development and engagement and continues to be active in his community. He has served as President of the Greater Dallas Pachyderm Club, President of the Hunter’s Ridge Home Owner’s Association, and as Chairman of the Hackberry Creek Country Club Board of Governors. Chris recently completed his service as a member of both the Texas Tech Alumni Association National Board of Directors and the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Texas Tech University College of Arts and Sciences.
A cradle Catholic, Chris is a graduate of Texas Tech University and a native of West Texas. Growing up in Plainview helped shape and instilled in him the values of the founding American principles of self-reliance, individualism, and personal responsibility with a passion for service to others.
Chris is married to Jessica Chapman and they are the proud parents of Justine and Jacob. Justine is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and the American University in Aix-en Provence, France. She is currently a professor of art at Colorado Mesa University. Jacob is a graduate of Tarleton State University and currently serves in the intelligence department of the United States Air Force and is stationed outside of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Chris and Jessica live in Denton, Texas and are members of St. Mark Catholic Church. In their precious free time, Chris and Jessica enjoy college and high school football, drives along the Pacific Coast Highway and relish their time golfing together.

Joshua King
Joshua King was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and has built his career at the intersection of finance, commercial real estate, and community impact. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Finance and Real Estate before returning to Houston to begin his professional journey.
Joshua started his career as a Capital Markets Analyst at a private equity real estate investment firm with more than $1 billion in assets under management and several hundred million dollars in ground-up development. The firm specialized in value-add multifamily communities in Houston and development projects nationwide, including mixed-use communities. Within a short period, Joshua advanced to become Head of Capital Markets, where he led the department for three years, overseeing financing strategies and execution across the firm’s portfolio.
Motivated by a vision to create a broader impact, Joshua left to found CrownGroup Strategies, a capital markets advisory platform that serves numerous clients across the country. Since its launch, CrownGroup has facilitated several hundred million dollars in commercial real estate financing across asset classes and geographies.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Joshua is a committed Christian and joined Acanthus with the goal of making a meaningful difference in the lives of senior citizens and church communities nationwide. As Co-Head of Acanthus Texas, he brings expertise in finance, development strategy, and execution to help advance the organization’s mission while staying rooted in his passion for service and community building.
